I got mine today and took some scrap line to try it out and it works well . Pretty easy to use and nice flares.

This tool came in very handy in replacing all of the brake lines (and proportioning valve lines) on a 69 Lincoln Mark III. The one small issue I had with it was that the die lock did not center perfectly by itself, so my first flares were lopsided. The die lock was catching on one of the studs and did not move all the way to center over the line. I had to tap the side of the die lock each time to fully move it over, and then the flares came out perfect. PVF coated steel lines aren't the easiest to flare, but the tool held the lines very well without slipping and flared without having to put in too much effort. I highly recommend this flare tool, just do a couple of practice flares first before doing your actual lines on the car!

Just did 4 flares for full brake line replacements under the car. This tool works great for close quarters, where you can't really wrestle with three piece flare kits. Easy to hold with just one hand and turn with a wrench. I've got both flare kits but this will likely be the one I use going forward.
