Brake Line Adapters

The right connection for every line -- sealed, secure, leak-free.

Brake Line Adapters

When your line and your port don't speak the same language, an adapter bridges them. Adapters let you join two different thread sizes, thread pitches, or flare types -- metric to SAE, bubble to inverted -- so you can connect the parts you have instead of re-plumbing the whole system.

How to choose an adapter

Start with what's on each end: the thread size and pitch, and the flare type of the line and the port you're joining. Match one end to your existing line and the other to the component or port. If you're not sure exactly what you need, a fitting assortment covers the common sizes so you can test-fit on the bench.

Brake Line Adapter FAQ

What does a brake line adapter do?+
It joins two ends that do not match -- different thread sizes, thread pitches, or flare types, such as metric to SAE.
How do I pick the right adapter?+
Identify the thread size, pitch, and flare on each end. Match one end to your line and the other to the port or component.
Do adapters need sealant?+
No -- they seal on the flare, not the threads. Never use tape or sealant on a brake fitting.
