Where to use it
Silicone grease is safe on rubber, so it's the right choice for caliper seals, boots, and O-rings. Dielectric grease goes on electrical connectors and bulb sockets to seal out moisture without blocking the circuit. Keep both off the friction surfaces -- pads, rotors, and the flare faces of a brake line.
