I've done a lot of brake lines over the years. For the last few jobs I used a 3/16 inline flare tool(that is best mounted in a vise). It worked fantastic. Not that practical, but effective. So when I needed to rebuild a car with 1/4 pipe. I went looking for a good tool. So many cheap flare tools mess up the pipe with grip marks, or simply ruin the flares.
I saw this tool, and thought "It looks decent for the higher price". The tool has a good weight to it, nothing feels cheap, or poorly made. Often time these hand held flare tools have extra bits that get easily lost. Well this thing has a magnet in the bottom of the handle, that holds the other flare die. Incredible! Also it has no teeth to grip the pipe, and it doesn't slip.....
I used their nicop line. It works perfect.
Next to getting a all in one numerous size kit, this is perfect for just the one size.
makes a flair but the flair qualty not good
